The whole necklace has been blackened then given a burnish polished finish to highlight the beautiful surface texture. I have hand forged it from one piece of recycled silver, and as a result, it is a twisting design like the guitar playing that inspired it. This t-bar silver necklace hangs from a trace chain with an easy to do up T-clasp. As a finishing touch, there is a grass green agate cabochon added as a detail near the clasp.Inspired by Music and SynaesthesiaI am synaesthetic, which is a neurological trait where the senses cross. Therefore I have a strong visual impression of shape, colour, movement and sometimes texture when I hear music. This t-bar silver necklace is inspired by what I see when I listen to the guitar playing of Matt Bellamy from Muse. As a result, the shapes in this silver necklace are little snippets of electric guitar music made visible by my synaesthesia. Hence this t-bar necklace twists like crackled and distorted electric guitar playing.
