Just slip it over the narrowest part of your upper ear and slide down, it sits securely taking advantage of the shape of your ear to stay put.Music As InspirationI am synaesthetic which is a neurological trait where the senses are crossed.  As a result I have a strong visual impression of shape, colour, movement and sometimes texture when I hear music. This piece is inspired by what I see when I listen to music.  As a result the deep textures in this ear cuff are little snippets of electric guitar music made tangible by my synaesthesia. To me, electric guitar has crunchy and crackled edges. Hence this silver ear cuff has deep cut textures in response to distorted electric guitar playing. As a result, this eliminates the need for newly mined silver in my work. I melted a piece of old silverware down. Then hand forged the resulting ingot of molten silver into this silver ear cuff.Unique Ear CuffThis piece of jewellery is totally unique, I never make the same thing twice. I made it by hand using freeform hammering and cutting techniques hence each ear cuff is a one-off and intentionally not uniform. This is to match the irregularity and style of the music that inspired them.
