Twisting is an iconic technique of these ancient goldsmiths. I have blackened the silver and given the earrings a burnish polish to bring out the textural detail. These earrings are a great way to add a real edge to your look.Inspired by Ancient Celtic GoldsmithsI made a research trip to the British Musem to see how Celtic goldsmiths made their jewellery. The twisted torc is an iconic emblem of these ancient craftspeople’s remarkable skill. These beautiful Iron Age works directly inspired these Twisted Silver Hoop Earrings. I made each earring from a single piece of wire. Each hoop is shaped, thinned, twisted and wrapped in a specific way to make these earrings. As a result, these Twisted Silver Hoop Earrings reflect the ongoing timeline of jewellery making skills that is ages old.I individually hand-make every piece of my jewellery, for more about my research into Celtic Torcs read: The Celtic Torc Is The Beautiful Magic of Iron Age TreasureWhat Is It Made Of?Sterling silver is a widely used alloy in jewellery and it is the metal I have used to make these earrings. Sometimes refered to as 925 silver it means that there is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper which therefore improves it’s workability. Coins used to be made from sterling silver, consequently we still sometimes refer to British currency as pounds sterling even though the coins are no longer made from sterling silver. It is an easy to wear and durable metal for jewellery and has anti-bacterial properties which make it ideal for pierced earrings.Who Are These Twisted Silver Hoop Earrings For?These earrings are for a woman with an adventurous heart and plenty of curiosity. Can I return surplus stock?

Unopened cartons may be returned within 14 days for store credit (excludes custom-printed items). Freight is at the buyer’s cost.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Photograph the packaging and product within 48 hours and email [email protected]. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund immediately.

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, Afterpay, bank transfer, and 20th-of-month trade accounts for approved wholesale customers. In store pay wave includes all the above and also Amex.

Is the tissue acid free?

Yes all our tissue paper is certified acid free

Do you offer design help?

Our in-house team can suggest colour palettes, ribbon combinations, or box sizes free of charge.

Do you provide a gift-wrapping service?

We supply materials only but are unable to do the wrapping for you.

Will you have a pop-up shop again for Christmas?

Yes on-site downstairs – plenty of parking available. Our Christmas Pop-Up runs 1 November – 23 December 2025 at the same 235 Archers Rd, Wairau Valley location.

Is your showroom open to the public?

Yes everyone is welcome. Winter hours Mon-Thurs 10am-4pm, Fri 10am-3pm. Nov-Dec - Mon-Sat 10am-4pm. Trade buyers, Corporate and the general public are welcome.

Do you sell food packaging?

We do stock some items and if food safe certifed we will state this in the product description. If you are wanting large numbers of food packaging you are better to go to a supplier that specialises in this.

Do you offer environmentally friendly packaging?

More than 50 % of our range is recyclable, or made from post-consumer fibre. Look for the trust icons on each product page and check out or Eco collection also.

Can you match my brand colours exactly for printing on ribbon?

We will suggest the closest colour we have from our stocks but cannot print to match exactly.

Can you print my logo on bags, boxes, or ribbon?

We print locally onto selected ribbons, bags and boxes. Send us a vector file (AI, EPS or PDF). Via website > customise> then complete the quotation form and we will get back to you with pricing.

Do you ship internationally?

We don’t currently as each time we look into it is too expensive via courier.

Why does it not give me the option for local pick-up?

Even though you are collecting you need to enter a shipping address for this to show

Can I pick up my order?

Choose “Local Pick up” at checkout. Winter hours (Mon–Thurs, 10 am – 4 pm. Fri 10am-3pm). We’ll email when it’s packed and ready to pick up. If these hours are not workable for you do contact us and we will try to accommodate. Nov and Dec Mon-Sat 10am-4pm.

Do you deliver to the South Island and rural addresses?

Yes. North Island overnight, South Island 2 business days, rural allow 2-3 extra days. Rates are shown at checkout; oversized items may incur a surcharge.

Orders placed before 12 PM (with confirmed payment) will be dispatched the same day.
Standard courier timing via NZ Couriers is overnight North Island and 2 days to the South Island.
Rural is an additional 2-3 days.
Pick-ups available at 235 Archers Road, Wairau Valley, Auckland.
