Therefore I have a strong visual impression of shape, colour, movement and sometimes texture when I hear music. This golden topaz and silver ring is inspired by what I see when I listen to an electric guitar. Mostly electric guitar is silver, but it often contains flashes of other colours, often rich golds and sharp yellows which is why I have included golden topaz nestling in the silver of this ring. The sterling silver I used to make this golden topaz ring comes from old and broken silverware and cutlery. Consequently, I can eliminate the need for newly mined silver in my work. I melted a piece of old silverware down. Then I hand forged the resulting ingot of molten silver into this golden topaz and silver ring. This ring has a full UK Hallmark which guarantees it is sterling silver.
